Our Excess Charges & Rental Rates Are Changing
From the 3rd April 2023 the hourly and daily rental rates will be different, as will the standard excess and fees associated with reducing your excess to £100 per incident. The 'Low Fuel' fee is also extending to cover those failing to leave an electric vehicle on charge at the end of their reservation.
RENTAL RATES: It’s been almost a year since rental rates were reviewed on a county-wide basis, however as market dynamics continue to shift the time has now come to do so. This will mean that from 3rd April 2023, we'll be updating our rental rates. Taken as an average across the UK, this will see standard plan hourly rates increase by £0.90 and daily rates by £7.20. This will differ vehicle to vehicle, town to town, city to city, so please pay extra special attention to the reservation estimate displayed prior to confirming a booking from that point onwards – remembering, as ever, that this estimate does not include any per mile fee. Membership costs will remain unchanged. As will the fact that rental costs will be capped at the day rate. Despite the changes, we are confident Enterprise Car Club continues to offer a unrivalled service at a competitive price.
STANDARD EXCESS: Hopefully you will never have a bump but if you do, you only have to pay the standard excess. All our drivers are covered by this per-incident excess.
STANDARD EXCESS: Unless you are under 22 years old, you may be able to reduce your excess per incident to just £100 in the following ways:
*Standard Plan rates. Costs on other rate plans may vary but will be displayed as an option during the booking journey
If you have already opted to pay the monthly or yearly charge these new rates will be incurred when you are next billed after their introduction. In the unlikely event you have an objection to these new rates, please email us at helpdesk@enterprisecarclub.co.uk before the 3rd April. At any time you may cancel your membership, or excess protection, in accordance with the Terms and Conditions, which remain unchanged.
Anyone choosing to reduce their excess before the 3rd April 2023 will enjoy the lower rates until they renew on a monthly/annual basis, if applicable.
LOW FUEL FEE: This £30 fee has long been incurred by any member returning a vehicle with less than a quarter tank of fuel. However, to enhance our commitment to ‘Net Zero’ targets and grow the number of electric vehicles we offer, from the 3rd April 2023 this fee will also be incurred by any member failing to leave their electric vehicle on-charge at the end of the rental.
