How Enterprise Car Club Pricing Works

There are three key cost components that make up what you’ll be charged when taking to the road with Enterprise Car Club. 

Membership

This is paid either monthly or annually. Simply join by selecting a rate plan available in the town or city within which you live. You’ll then get access to vehicles across the UK. Please be advised that the application fee, where applicable, is non-refundable.  

Rental 

For each trip, you’ll be charged for the vehicle based on the type of car or van you’ve selected, the duration of the reservation and the location. Find the prices for your location here.  Before confirming your reservation, an estimate for your rental will be displayed, which is based on the specific rates of the vehicle you’ve selected. To give you peace of mind, our price guarantee means we charge you the daily rate if it is lower than the hourly rate. This daily cap will only be applied to one reservation per day. You may cancel for FREE up to 5 hours before your reservation starts. 

Mileage

This is a per-mile charge that is calculated based on how far you drive during your reservation. This is added to your rental charge and billed at the end of your trip. 

Once you’ve covered these costs you don’t need to think about fuel, damage protection, servicing, MOT, road tax, breakdown cover, vehicle depreciation…etc. as these are all included. What’s more, we don’t charge a deposit. 

Other things to consider

• Fuel - If you fill up during your rental we’ll cover the cost. Simply pay using the fuel card found within the vehicle's glove compartment, or to the right of the steering wheel. 

• Physical Damage/Liability Protection - This is included with an excess of £1,000 for cars and £1,250 for vans, per incident, as standard across all plans. If you are aged 22+ you can reduce your excess to £250 per incident by paying £15/month or £150 per year, when you join or by entering your member ID on this form.  Alternatively, you can reduce your excess for a specific reservation to £250 per incident by paying an hourly fee of £2.00/hr (up to £16.00/day). You can select this option at the time of making your reservation. 

• Parking – When parking outside the vehicle’s dedicated location, you are liable for any parking costs. Free parking is available in Edinburgh and Kensington & Chelsea in London – see the relevant location page for more information. 

• Tolls & fines – You will have to cover the costs should you incur a parking ticket or traffic offence. These also may attract an administration fee.

Choosing the Right Plan

Enterprise Car Club provides a choice of three rate plans - Standard, Basic and Under 22’s. Use our handy  calculator  so you can estimate just how much you may save by using Enterprise Car Club. 

Basic Annual Plan £10/year, and get £10 in driving credit each year

This plan may suit an infrequent renter as on this plan you are missing out on the reduced rental rates that Standard Plan membership would unlock (£1/hour and £10/day) and is almost cost neutral after your first rental. 

Standard Annual Plan £60/year 

This plan unlocks cheaper rental rates, saving you £1/hr and £10/day on each rental in comparison to the Basic Plan. You can also save £24/yr on membership fees in comparison to paying for the Standard Monthly Plan.

Standard Monthly Plan £7/month 

Unlocks cheaper rental rates, saving you £1/hr and £10/day on each rental in comparison to the new Basic Plan. The minimal membership term is 30 days.

Under 22 Plan £10/month

Our only plan for drivers between the ages of 19 - 21. Switching from this plan is only possible after you turn 22 years old. Then you may choose any of the other membership plans but will automatically be put in the Standard £7/month Plan.

*A deposit is only required if a CCJ is found during the identity check or if there have been multiple bounced payments. In such cases, a deposit may be necessary.

Mileage Rates

There is a per-mile charge that is calculated based on how far you drive during your reservation. This is added to your rental charge and billed at the end of your trip. This mileage rate is determined by the vehicle size and the plan you are subscribed to.

Please note not all vehicle classes are available in all locations. Rates shown are based on an average across the region and therefore will vary by individual location. The rate for a specific vehicle will be quoted before you confirm your reservation during the booking process.
